Recent works at the facility identified an electrical fault that affected the Eagleby Aquatic Centre and neighbouring Eagleby Community Centre.
Energex disconnected the power supply to allow for repairs to be undertaken.
The repairs required underground work in the car park and an assessment of the facilities by Energex.
Power has since been restored to the Community Centre.
The Aquatic Centre was built nearly 30 years ago and Energex has advised Council that additional work and upgrades are needed before power can be reconnected to the facility.
These works will take some time to be completed and until then the Eagleby Aquatic Centre unfortunately cannot be reopened to the public.
Council apologises for any inconvenience caused by these unexpected repairs.
